Wacky soapboxes will be zooming down Northwich’s Verdin Park this month -
supported by a number of local businesses.
The Krazy Races event will see thousands of people visit the town on Sunday, June
26th to watch teams race in their craziest karts, and Air IT, ASM Technologies
Limited and A-Plan Insurance will support as sponsors.
Danny Scoffin, Krazy Races Head of Marketing, said: “We’re delighted to be working
with so many brilliant local businesses at our Northwich event along with Northwich

keep our soapbox event free to attend.”
IT software, hardware and services provider ASM Technologies Limited will be
sponsoring the event’s VIP area, while IT firm Air IT will be sponsoring the
racetrack’s Krazy course. Insurance broker A-Plan is the sponsor for both the finish
line and Kids’ Zone.
John Shorter, Business Systems Manager at ASM Technologies Limited, based at
Gadbrook Business Centre, said: “When we saw the Krazy Races event advertised
back in 2019, we thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to engage with the local
community whilst also providing a unique social event for our employees and their
families. Thankfully the Northwich Krazy Races have been able to run this year and
we’re really looking forward to taking part in what looks to be a well-supported and

Up to 40 teams are expected to be driving their Kraziest karts on June 26th, with
racers and attendees raising money for charity partner Macmillan or local charities
chosen by teams.

The races taking place in Verdin Park will be the second of the Krazy Races in 2022
and come after over 10,000 people watched the soapbox event in Shrewsbury on
As well as Northwich Krazy Races on June 26th the event will also be heading to
Wolverhampton on August 21st. Both are free to attend.
