Lincoln Krazy Races Meets Its Teams at Lincoln City FC Ahead of Race Day
To be released ASAP
An old Piano, the Flintmobile, The Only Fools and Horses car and a giant pink chicken to mention just a few ‘Krazy’ Soapboxes gathered at Lincoln City FC as the final preparations took place for the highly anticipated, free-to-attend Lincoln Krazy Races soapbox derby on Sunday, 15th September.
Danny Scoffin, Krazy Races Head of Brand and Marketing, said: “We have had an incredible day at Lincoln CIty FC. As well as being home of Lincoln City FC the venue is also home to our headline charity Lincoln City Foundation who supported our Krazy team on the day.
Our scrutineer events are critical because they allow us to meet all our teams and give them the information needed for race day. After seeing over 30 fantastic soapboxes, we can assure the people of Lincoln that Sunday, 15th September, will be a day not to miss.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing team at Lincoln City FC and Lincoln City Foundation for supporting us.”
Lincoln Krazy Races will be raising vital funds for Lincoln City Foundation, which will be providing loads of great family entertainment on the day.
Alexandra Bavin, Director of Operations at Lincoln City Foundation added; “It was fabulous to see all the teams and how much time and effort has been put in to making such impressive and fun soapboxes. The 15th is going to be a cracking event for all to enjoy. We are delighted to be the chosen charity which will enable us to develop further local opportunities for participants to join in our numerous programmes. We would love to get our youth groups involved in STEM activity!”
Other businesses and organisations entering a soapbox in this year's race include BBC Radio Lincolnshire, Siemens Energy, JK Vehicle Movements Ltd, and Tick HR Solutions, to name just a few.
Starting their descent on Flaxengate, teams will navigate a series of thrilling twists and turns before hurtling past thousands lining the track. The event will feature a bustling event village, complete with local food vendors, family entertainment, and a giant event screen broadcasting all the race-day excitement. The competitors will work their way through a knockout-style competition on Sunday, 15th September, with only the fastest 10 cars making it to the final, where they will battle to take home the winner's trophy!
Lincoln City BIG, in collaboration with Sarah Belcher Events Limited, is proud to bring this unique event back to the town, recognising the significant economic impact it promises to deliver.
