Hatfields have today been unveiled as the Headline sponsor for Shrewsbury Krazy Races. Hatfields Jaguar Land Rover are returning as headline sponsor for the West Midlands biggest free to attend Soap Box derby after supporting the event back in 2019.
The free to attend Krazy Races soap-box event is expected to draw thousands of spectators from across the West Midlands and Shropshire, all keen to see carefully crafted karts hurtle down a track featuring chicanes, obstacles and water features.
When the event was last held in Shrewsbury it attracted an incredible 17,500 spectators while raising more than £20,000 for headline charity Macmillan and other local charities and organisers are expecting even more this year.
As well as headlining the event, Shrewsbury Hatfields will also host a Scrutineer event on the 17th May. This is the first chance for racers to check out their competition and for everyone to catch their first glimpse of the carts.
Hatfields represent both Jaguar and Land Rover in Shrewsbury and the surrounding area, having a strong heritage in representing both the prestigious brands. Hatfields are a family owned company and have made a multi-million-pound investment in the Town with a flagship new retail site opening in 2020 at Emstrey Island off the A5.

As well as Shrewsbury Krazy Races on the 29th May the event will also be heading to Northwich on the 26th June before taking a spectacular final bow in Wolverhampton City Centre on the 21st August.
Applications are still open for entries to Shrewsbury Krazy Races on Sunday 29th May, Northwich Krazy Races on June 26th and Wolverhampton Krazy Races on August 21st but teams are being advised to enter fast as spaces are filling up fast.
